Back to My Roots

Red Flowered Tank: H and M
The Maxi: hand sewn by my mom

Fancy Flip Flops: target

I was born in New mexico! And my mom made this skirt when I was baby. I told her that I had borrow it and I was going to wear it. I mean what”is wrong with wanting to show off her beautiful work? Isn’t gorgeous and well made?? When I went back to see where I was born, it was like a ghost town. There was really nothing there. It was just like a normal town. Remember summers not over yet!!! So stay up later than you ever have and go a little crazy. Curl up with a good book or watch a great movie.

remember Disneyland is the most magical place on earth! (especially in

the summer!)

Flower Petals

Dress: Nordstrom (sale rack of course!)
Belt: Forever 21
I think that this dress has a flowery feel to it with all the flowers and the top of the dress. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of flower petals is when you see the girl taking the petals of a flower saying “he loves me, he loves me not” until they get to the end of the petals and they either end up with “he loves me” or you guessed it, “ he loves me not”. Some ladies are hopeless and feel that they will never find the love of their life that will be everything that they had hoped for, imagined, and dreamed of. These ladies are constantly observing the world and looking at how many people are married, how many people are engaged, and dating. They look at those couples and they say to themselves “Will this ever happen for me? Will I ever find that special person who is the one that I have been longing for? Will I grow old alone?” The last thought scares them. This happens to me all the time! But ladies I just want to know that I have full faith in you and your dad might have always said “You’ll find love” but then in the back of your mind you think “When?”, but I think that you should listen to him. Love can happen at any time. It’s never too late. J Finding this person will definitely not be easy, but think about it this way ladies: there are so many guys in this world and you may think “but they’re all  jerks”, but ladies you just got to try. As my mom said to me once “You got to go through all the toads before you get your Prince Charming”. Meaning, you got to try some guys out first to know what you want and then you will find your Prince Charming. Never give up hope in love!

Indian Bliss

Shirt: Forever 21
Wrap-around-head thing: it was actually a belt to a maxi dress but it came from Forever 21
When I came down this morning wearing this my dad was like “ you look like a hippy” and then my mom thinks that my headband around my head looked like an “Indian” I felt fierce wearing this outfit honestly I felt really confident. I felt like I could strut the streets without being ashamed, except for my headband wrapped around my head, that makes me feel weird. You should always feel confident and as a really good blogger says “We don't need to be supermodels to know that the world is our cat walk.  And we don't need super powers to be super women.  Sure, your face may not be on the covers of magazines, and you may not have the ability to read people's minds (or maybe you do, Husband), but there is something inside each and every one of us that makes us truly beautiful and wonderful.  The beauty and powers we possess are much more honest and real than anything found in a glossy magazine or a story defined by supernatural heroism.  Like the girl who battles society's standards of beauty just to feel comfortable in her skin.  Or the mother who is impervious to sleep because she works day and night unconditionally taking care of her baby's every need.
So today, remember your powers.  And gurrrrrl, don't forget to strut your thang walking down that sidewalk as if you've got cameras flashing.  Throw those shoulders back, keep your head high, and give that booty a little pop as you turn that corner.  Because there is nothing more powerful than confidence.  The the world is watching, and noticing, how super you are.  Just don't become too super that you refuse to get of bed for anything less than $10,000 a day, or go all Darth Vader on us.  Because that would not be cool.” (http://runningonhappiness.blogspot.com)  I think this is something that all you ladies need to remember: no matter what you may look like, you should be able to strut your stuff like you’re a supermodel. I don’t think I could’ve said what she said any better. Just try to be comfortable in your own skin and never be afraid to take risks especially in fashion. J

Cutouts

Shirt: Target, Bandeau: H &M, Cardigan: J Crew Jackie (from outlet)

I saw a peacock yesterday!!! Just running around. They are so beautiful.

I like this shirt and I think that it reminds me of Selena Gomez(my inspiration) in the movie Ramona and Beezus which was really cute. The light blue thing that looks like an undershirt is actually a bandeau which is like this little thing that is half of a undershirt so if you don’t feel like wearing an undershirt, you wear this. J It’s almost like a sports bra but it’s strapless.
Stay cool as a cucumber bloggers and Happy Father’s Day! J

Flowing with the 70s

Necklace: Charlotte Russe

Shirt: Charlotte Russe

I am now starting Driver’s Ed which is very exciting but when I am in the class it’s really boring and they make driving sound horrible!! But it is totally worth it and I totally encourage you to do it, if you are of age. That is why I have been so busy and the there was a girl visting from the Czech Republic.
I think that shirt is very unique and different. I love how it just is so flowy and grown up looking. My mom was also envious of my necklace.
Happy Summer! Go to the beach! Don’t worry!
