Indian Bliss

Shirt: Forever 21
Wrap-around-head thing: it was actually a belt to a maxi dress but it came from Forever 21
When I came down this morning wearing this my dad was like “ you look like a hippy” and then my mom thinks that my headband around my head looked like an “Indian” I felt fierce wearing this outfit honestly I felt really confident. I felt like I could strut the streets without being ashamed, except for my headband wrapped around my head, that makes me feel weird. You should always feel confident and as a really good blogger says “We don't need to be supermodels to know that the world is our cat walk.  And we don't need super powers to be super women.  Sure, your face may not be on the covers of magazines, and you may not have the ability to read people's minds (or maybe you do, Husband), but there is something inside each and every one of us that makes us truly beautiful and wonderful.  The beauty and powers we possess are much more honest and real than anything found in a glossy magazine or a story defined by supernatural heroism.  Like the girl who battles society's standards of beauty just to feel comfortable in her skin.  Or the mother who is impervious to sleep because she works day and night unconditionally taking care of her baby's every need.
So today, remember your powers.  And gurrrrrl, don't forget to strut your thang walking down that sidewalk as if you've got cameras flashing.  Throw those shoulders back, keep your head high, and give that booty a little pop as you turn that corner.  Because there is nothing more powerful than confidence.  The the world is watching, and noticing, how super you are.  Just don't become too super that you refuse to get of bed for anything less than $10,000 a day, or go all Darth Vader on us.  Because that would not be cool.” (http://runningonhappiness.blogspot.com)  I think this is something that all you ladies need to remember: no matter what you may look like, you should be able to strut your stuff like you’re a supermodel. I don’t think I could’ve said what she said any better. Just try to be comfortable in your own skin and never be afraid to take risks especially in fashion. J
